NNA - The White House expressed on Saturday its "deep concern" after more than ninety people were killed in an Israeli strike that targeted a school in Gaza City, according to paramedics, as reported by Agence France-Presse.

National Security Council spokesman Sean Savitt said in a statement: “We express deep concern about reports of civilian deaths in Gaza as a result of the strike.”

He explained that the United States "requested more details," stressing that the bombing, which sparked international condemnation, "confirms the urgent need for a ceasefire and a deal (to release) the hostages, which we continue to work tirelessly to achieve."
