National News Agency | Kursk Governor says 28 settlements under Ukrainian control

NNA - The governor of Russia's Kursk region where Ukraine has launched an incursion told President Vladimir Putin Monday that 28 settlements with a population of around 2,000 people are controlled by Ukrainian troops.

"Twenty-eight settlements are under enemy control," Alexei Smirnov said at a meeting with Putin, adding that the incursion was up to 12 kilometres (7.5 miles) deep along a 40km (25 mile) front. -- AFP
